Chapter 3803 The School Doctor's "Daily Life" (18)

“How would I know? This is a magic academy, and many people here know magic. Erasing traces would be incredibly easy. We can’t pinpoint the target using ordinary methods.”

"But you still found out."

"You too."

“This proves there are two possibilities,” the main universe Batman said. “Either his magical abilities are about the same as ours, and he can’t effectively erase traces with magic; or he doesn’t care—he simply doesn’t care if someone finds those traces. Which do you think it is?”

"The traces I saw in the Enchanted Forest were fairly clear. What about yours?"

"The ones in the library are about the same. They don't seem to be trying to hide anything at all."

"them?"

"That's right, did you only see traces of one person?"

Night Owl fell silent, clearly lost in thought. The main universe Batman didn't press further, knowing Night Owl couldn't reveal any more to him.

The main universe's Batman knew he had an intelligence advantage. That day, he saw two Schillers heading towards the Enchanted Forest, while Nite Owl only found one person's trail. This not only didn't contradict the aforementioned clues, but rather provided strong evidence.

Because these two people are both Schiller, they look exactly alike, and their height, weight, and footprints are naturally identical as well. Whatever traces they left in the Enchanted Forest, they would all look like they were left by the same person.

Batman didn't believe Schiller was a dark wizard; after all, Schiller was far more evil than any dark wizard. He felt there was something strange about the whole thing, an inexplicable sense of unease.

Batman rarely trusts unfounded intuition; most of the time, he prefers to let the evidence speak for itself. After eliminating all impossible answers, the remaining one, however outrageous, becomes the truth. However, the matter of Schiller is an exception. To judge Schiller, it's best to trust your intuition.

After the flight lessons ended, none of the Batmen except Bruce could fly. However, few of the other trainees could fly either, so they didn't seem particularly special.

After class, the main universe Batman, Arkham Batman, and the Great Adventure Batman got together.

“We need to speed up the process of setting up the private internet connection,” the main universe Batman said. “I don’t have any important classes this afternoon, so I’m planning to skip class and go to the secret room to do my research. If things go smoothly, we can try connecting to the internet tonight. We need to know what’s going on outside.”

“I’ve heard that the internet here can connect to interplanetary internet,” Arkham Batman said. “Maybe we can even learn about what’s happening in the universe. If that’s the case, that would be great.”

Before Batman and his crew arrived, they had vaguely heard that Earth had entered the interstellar age. There seemed to have been some major events recently, but they didn't know the specifics. This information was crucial for Batman; only by understanding the macro-level situation could he make informed judgments.

After lunch, the main universe Batman plunged into a secret room to begin his research on networking. It sounded complicated, but the principle was quite simple: he molded magical energy into an antenna and extended it outwards until it connected to the network.

The real challenge lies in shaping magical energy into an antenna. When there's no limit to the amount of magical energy, it's simple—just consider an antenna with a diameter of 20 kilometers as an antenna.

However, Batman in the main universe doesn't have much power at his disposal right now. The three of them together only have three wands, and if they borrowed from classmates, they could only manage to gather five or six at most.

A wand can be recharged when it runs out of magic, but if the magic is depleted so quickly, it will definitely arouse the professor's suspicion. Therefore, the Batman of the main universe must create this antenna using as little magic as possible.

Fortunately, the library had a comprehensive collection of books explaining the principles of magical defense networks. These networks contained similar principles. After careful study, the main universe's Batman finally managed to create the antenna that very night.

No display screen is needed; magic itself can achieve the effect of holographic projection, even surpassing the resolution of most screens in the world. The instant the connection is established, countless pieces of information appear on the screen.

This wasn't the kind of user-friendly interface people usually use; it was all sorts of program code. The main universe Batman made some adjustments to restore it to an interface similar to a mobile phone.

“I downloaded a few apps from the trending apps list,” the main universe Batman said. “Some are similar to what I have, and some I don’t. Do you guys have them where you are?”

Arkham Batman glanced at it and shook his head: "I've never seen most of them before; they're probably unique to their region."

The main universe's Batman first clicked on the top-ranked app on the trending list. It was a black icon with a musical note on it. He assumed it was a music app, but the homepage showed a beautiful woman singing and dancing energetically.

The main universe's Batman swiped somewhat awkwardly, and then saw a familiar face—Iron Man Tony Stark.

He soared through the sky in a blue suit of armor, landed heavily on the ground in a superhero landing pose, then suddenly looked up, his visor opened, revealing his handsome face.

This short video, only a dozen seconds long, garnered hundreds of thousands of likes and thousands of comments. The main universe's Batman couldn't resist clicking on the comments, only to find it was mostly filled with arguments.

Some say this account is fake, and another account is the real one; some say this mech has been around for years, and Iron Man has probably run out of ideas; some say Stark is handsome, some say Stark is ugly; and some even ask if Stark is getting a divorce soon.

"Is this a video app?" Arkham Batman said. "It's quite novel to watch videos vertically like this. See if you can find anything else."

The main universe Batman scrolled down again, and there it was—Captain America introducing his 100th birthday commemorative badge to the camera. He was wearing a white shirt, which made his blue eyes look even bluer.

"...This one is absolutely unique, and the craftsmanship is the best among all the birthday badges ever made. To be honest, I was pleasantly surprised when I received it. My loyal fans all bought a set, and when they ask me about its appreciation value, I say it's probably no less than the Sacrifice Commemorative Edition..."

“I never imagined their daily lives were like this,” Batman the Adventurer chuckled. “It’s quite interesting.”

"Maybe this is one of the benefits of being a real-name hero." The main universe's Batman figured out even more features. He opened Captain America's homepage and found more of his videos, but since he wasn't logged in, he couldn't follow them.

He continued scrolling, and all he saw were superhero videos—one minute it was Spider-Man, the next it was Spider-Man, and then it was Spider-Man again. And almost every Spider-Man was teaching others how to distinguish between the different Spider-Men.

“It seems like the spiders in their universe have become a plague,” said Batman Arkham. “They’ve reached the level of disturbing the peace.”

The Great Adventurer Batman began to recall what happened when he was matched with Spider-Man in the Battlegrounds, and then he nodded in agreement: "I can't even imagine how noisy it was."

After the spider wave subsided, the mutant wave came in, with all sorts of mutants doing abstract and creative things online, interspersed with scenery from the Andromeda Galaxy and international news from the new Shangdu Kingdom.

Batmen quickly deduced from these messages that the mutants in this universe seemed to have broken away and established their own country on Earth, as well as a star system in the universe.

However, recalling their encounters with Magneto and Professor X in the Battlegrounds, especially in instances where their abilities weren't restricted, the Batmen felt it was quite normal.

“It’s not like this in other universes,” Batman Arkham said. “Mutants in other universes have a tough time. They’ve caused a lot of trouble in their universes, but things haven’t changed much. It’s more normal here.”

They scrolled down and came across Wanda and Jarvis's couple channel. This wasn't surprising, given their behavior at school clearly indicated they were a couple.

Following Wanda and Jarvis, I came across videos of them playing cards. Many well-known superheroes made appearances, and the game was incredibly exciting.

Then, following the video of the card game, I came across a video of Schiller using his phone to greet other superheroes.

"Looks like our doctor's really busy online," said Arkham Batman.

After seeing the video of Schiller greeting people, I naturally came across videos of him cooking, and then videos of Steve's 100th birthday party featuring dishes, as well as videos of the Black blogger commenting on the food.

Following this video, I came across more videos of Schiller, some of which showed him appearing in Stark's documentary, some of which showed him attending Stark's wedding, and some of which showed him attending superhero parties.

The arguing below had decreased considerably; most people were praising Schiller for being handsome or having a good presence.

As more and more close-up videos appeared, the Batman fans soon came across Schiller's school nurse look. This wasn't surprising; although there was no internet at the school, no one forbade filming it and posting it at home.

But soon, the Batmen realized something was wrong, because the comments section was full of talk about the movie, with some saying Schiller played a good guy and others saying he played a bad guy. The comments completely baffled the Batmen.

The main universe Batman quickly closed the short video app, then went to a search engine to search for "the movie Ifamoni," and read through all the film reviews, analyses, director interviews, behind-the-scenes stories, and other related content under the relevant entries.

After reading it, the three remained silent.

Goodness, it turns out this is a movie shoot. No wonder it's all simple puzzles, shabby locked rooms, a pretentious magic forest, and an illustrated guide written like a fairy tale.

“Wait a minute,” said Batman Arkham, “but they really are teaching us magic.”

"Yes, this proves that they built this magic school not just for making movies. Making movies was just a side effect."

"I can't believe that such a large school was only recently built," Batman the Adventurer exclaimed, as if a new world had opened up for him. "At this rate, rebuilding Gotham wouldn't even take a month, right?"

“Wake up,” the main universe Batman reminded him, “First, we need that much magical energy, and second, we need that many archmages.”

They had already seen the entire magic academy being built on various news reports—it was indeed astonishing, but it was also obvious that the energy consumed was staggering. In their universe, they would never have agreed to wasting so much magical energy building such a thing.

“I have an idea,” said the main universe Batman. “We learned from the internet that the recent anomalies at the school are part of a movie setup, but the other Batmen don’t know that, especially Nite Owl.”

Arkham Batman realized what was going on: "That's right, he probably really does think there's some dark wizard running around the school."

The main universe's Batman quietly watched the movie playing on the screen, then said, "The movie's background is quite detailed, which shows that the props team is very skilled. It's enough to fool the average viewer, but fooling Batman won't be so easy."

"Yes, didn't you notice something was wrong from the illustration?"

“We can help them solidify this,” the main universe Batman said, “while also setting a trap for Night Owl.”

"You mean..."

The main universe's Batman walked behind the table, picked up a book of dark magic from the bookshelf, and said, "There's no better props team in the world than ours."
