While Sienna Hale’s words hurt Clara Grant, Autumn Shelby was delighted to hear them.

’She said Seth Quinn could never get over me? Does that mean everything he said to me before was just out of anger?’

’He must be acting out of spite, deliberately pretending to be in love with Clara Grant right in front of me. He’s just using Clara to make me jealous!’

’Even them going public with their relationship and coming to meet his parents today—it was all just to get a reaction out of me.’

But before she could finish, a forceful voice cut her off.

Hearing the voice, Autumn Shelby turned around. Her gaze fell on Seth Quinn and Clara Grant’s tightly clasped hands, and her eyes instantly filled with resentment and jealousy.

But in the next moment, she calmed down. ’Seth is just acting out of spite. Holding Clara Grant’s hand and showing off their affection in front of me... of course, it’s all to make me jealous!’

Sienna Hale looked up and saw Seth Quinn and Clara Grant walking over. She felt a flash of awkwardness. Her daughter-in-law had arrived, only to find the ex-girlfriend here making a scene. What if Clara got the wrong idea?

Walking up to Sienna Hale, Seth Quinn continued, "Mom, what if Clara misunderstands because of what you said?"

Sienna Hale looked at Clara Grant, a little embarrassed. She gave an awkward smile and said, "Clara, dear, please don’t misunderstand. I was just talking nonsense."

But the more she and Seth Quinn tried to explain, the more Clara Grant felt they were just trying to cover something up.

Sienna Hale immediately came forward and took her hand, guiding her to sit on the sofa while calling out to Mrs. Cheney, "Mrs. Cheney, have someone bring up the fruit tray, quickly."

Mrs. Cheney quickly acknowledged and went to fetch someone.

Without sparing Autumn Shelby another glance, Seth Quinn followed Clara Grant to the sofa and began the introductions to Theodore Quinn and Sienna Hale.

"Mom, Dad, this is Clara, Clara Grant. Clara, these are my parents."
